PROGRAMME SPECIFIC OUTCOMES

PSO1

Acquire knowledge of key concepts, theories and findings in three broadly defined areas of psychology: Applied Psychology, Social, Cognitive & Developmental Psychology, and Neuropsychology & Research Methodology and Statistics, Psychometrics, Organizational, Counselling and Clinical Psychology. 

PSO2

Describe and demonstrate theories and methods of cognitive and personality assessment.

PSO3

Identify current methods of clinical/counselling/organizational psychology and evaluation research in context of the multifaceted dynamic environment.

PSO4

Comprehensively develop understanding of the principles and theories of human and family development from infancy to old age, including their effects upon individuals, couples and family relationships, and comprehend the unique developmental and psychological needs of the population in different age groups.

PSO5

Knowledge of career development theories and techniques, including career development decision making models and interrelationships among and between work, family, and other life roles and factors, including the role of multicultural issues in career development in various work settings.

PSO6

Demonstrate (through practice sessions with peers) ability to conduct beginning stages of therapy by demonstrating active listening skills, and skills of observing and describing interpersonal process.

Students will perform professional activities related to I/O Psychology including administering employee surveys, evaluating organizational interventions, conducting job analyses and more.
