Objective: 

This course will enable students to gain comprehensive knowledge of behavior dysfunctions, including understanding mental health concepts, interpreting various psychological disorders, and assessing cognitive impairments and personality dysfunctions, to apply this knowledge effectively in clinical settings.

Concepts of mental health and illness.  Meaning and definition of normality and abnormality.  Models for understanding dysfunctions: (Psychoanalytical, behavioral, interpersonal and humanistic). Need for and types of classification of mental disorders (DSM and ICD systems of classification).
