“The Silent Epidemic” A Skit on World Suide Prevention day

The students of department of psychology organised a small skit “Silent Epidemic” to spread awareness on World Suicide Day . The skit serves as a reminder of the importance of mental health and the need for open conversations about emotional struggles. Encourage open conversations and provide a non-judgmental space for individuals to share their feelings. The skit focuses to learn about the signs of suicidal thoughts and how to respond appropriately and to seek assistance from mental health professionals when necessary. The students along with role plays activities demonstrated the skit in a impactful manner which gives a message to the audience that “ There is hope, If there is you”

Outcome: The students of the university understand the importance of  World Suicide Prevention Day which is an opportunity for everyone to reflect on the importance of mental health awareness and support. By fostering open dialogue, educating ourselves, and reaching out to those in need, we can contribute to reducing the stigma surrounding mental health issues and help save lives
