Details of the Activity:
A 2 day workshop on CBT for OCD was organised on Jan 17-18, 2019 by The Counselling and Career Development Centre (CCDC) & Department of Psychology for the students of Psychology including BA /BSC (H) II and III Year, MA/MSC Previous and Final year, M.Phil, P.hD and Alumina. Dr. Ajay Kumar, Clinical Psychologist and Assistant Professor from NIMHANS were the Resource Person. He discussed about OCD and the basics of CBT. The workshop also focused on OCPD and how CBT is helpful is the treatment. It was an experiential workshop wherein, the participants practised how to formulate the case for treatment, identify faulty assumptions, treatment strategies. Many videos were shown to the participants focusing on the presentation of symptoms, how assessment is done and treatment.
The workshop was very useful and knowledgeable for the students. The students are thankful to the Department of Psychology and The Counselling & Career Development Centre for conducting the workshop.
