Departmental Orientation

The Department of Psychology organized the Orientation Program on 9^th August 2017, Wednesday. It was orchestrated by the senior batch for the freshers of B.A/ B.Sc (H) and M.A. previous. The program started with the welcoming of the new batch. Then to break the ice, two games were introduced named Bang-Bang and Weave Your Story, in which the teachers also participated. Everyone was very creative in making the story and they thoroughly enjoyed the games. This was followed by the teachers’ introduction which was the highlight of the entire program. Each teacher was described through a PPT and dance and the students expressed their love by presenting gifts to the teachers.Following this, the teachers of Psychology Department, briefed the students about the credit system, exam pattern, attendance criteria, metacampus portal and the Counselling & Career Development Centre (CCDC) of the university. 

The program continued with a comic skit about ‘Common myths about Psychology’, which filled the hall with hoots and cheers.Last but not the least; refreshments were provided to everyone and the orientation program was wrapped up with a DJ party.Also, the seniors were appreciated for their efforts and the teachers termed it as the “Best Orientation” in the history of Department of Psychology.
