Department of Psychology at the IIS University organized a Guest Lecture on Career Prospects in Psychology for M.A./M.Sc., B.A/B.Sc (Honours & Pass Course) Psychology students by Ms. Namita Pande, Counsellor at The Chopras Institute of Professional Education, Jaipur.

 Ms. Namita talked about career prospects in Psychology in various areas like child psychology, sports psychology, gerontology, psychometricians, health psychology, etc. She told students about admission criteria of masters, M.Phil & PhD. in various prestigious international universities.

In India, prestigious institute lie NIMHANS  offers M.Phil course in clinical psychology  and various other psychology courses for which it is essential to clear entrance test and interview. Other universities like D.U, B.H.U., etc also provide psychology courses. Ms. Namita also told students about the requirement of GRE, GPA scores an various foreign universities like Cornell University, Columbia University, Pennsylvania University, etc. She also talked about TOEFL, IELTS requirements in these universities.

The lecture was followed by an interactive session during which students pitched in enthusiastically with many queries. It was indeed a great learning experience. The session ended with a formal vote of thanks.
