The session commenced with her journey from Psychology to Indian Psychology. With comfortable rapport formed with the students, she asked students, important questions that lead to the path of realization of psychology in their life. To make us understand the major aspect of Indian Psychology, Introspection, She introduced us to one of the video. It led us to understand that it may be a complex procedure yet it is going to help in long term. And how the procedure of Introspection takes place from Self Observation to Self Awareness to Self Knowledge and lastly to Self Mastery. The difference between other types of psychology and Indian psychology is that it revolves around Inner self as well as there is no agenda to fulfill, but we make our own agendas in this field. The parts of toolbox of that focus on Inner self, that is, dairy writing, self notes, practicing silence and many more were discussed in details. One of the major toolbox of Inner self is to go through the process of Acknowledgement to Evaluation to Pause to Decide and to finally Act. At the end of the lecture, she provided the students with the thoughtful video of Sadhguru that enlightened us with how striping and peeling ourself layer by layer to comprehend the connection with ourself is significant aspect of Indian Psychology. I took knowledge that is going to stay with me always and I thank department of psychology for this.
