Activity: Orientation Session

The Department of Psychology organized an Orientation Programme for Freshers 2018 (Both Undergraduate and Postgraduate) on Friday,27th July 2018. The event was organised in order to familiarize the newcomers with the functioning of the department as well as make them gel in with their seniors at an informal level.
The programme began at 11:30 AM with a traditional and warm welcome to all the faculty members and students with tika-moli, followed by floral greetings to the faculty members to mark the auspiciousness of Guru Poornima, which coincided on the same date. The faculty members also planted a seed of life to symbolize the beginning of a new academic year.
The event proceeded with an AV Movie presentation comprising of an Informal Musical Introduction of the teachers and there subject specialisation which not only filled enthusiasm within the audience but also kept everyone in splits. Thereafter an interesting Ice breaking game cum Name introduction was held.
The programme was carried further with the words of the Dean Academics. Dr.Roopa Mathur who acquainted the students with the course structure and departmental facilities at the university. This was added by an explanation of the credit system, examination pattern and a short discussion on the working of Metacampus and various co-curricular activities byother faculty Members.Also, some of the new students gave solo musical performances. The new faculty members of the department Dr. Sneha Nathawat, Ms. Sankul Gaur and Ms. Anushree were also welcomed.
The programme ended with a melodious feedback from the juniors and serving of refreshment.
