Objective:

On completion of this course, the students will be able to: 

CO61: Describe the structure and function of different kinds of group behavior (e.g. deindividuation, group polarization).

CO62: Predict the impact of the presence of others on individual behavior (e.g. bystander effect, social facilitation).

CO63: Describe processes that contribute to differential treatment of group members (e.g. in-group/out-group dynamics, ethnocentrism, prejudice).

CO64: Apply the knowledge of social issues to understanding the psychological consequences of poverty, and gender issues in the present world.

CO65: Describe the various methods of research.
