The Department of Psychology, IISU organized a visit to 'Shubhashish Homes' for postgraduate students. Upon arrival, the students were greeted by the head of the Learning and Development department, and the session commenced with an engaging dialogue regarding the students' expectations for the visit. Various questions were posed and answered thoughtfully.

Subsequently, the core values of the Shubhashish Group were presented, highlighting what distinguishes their work environment from others. Key values included:

These values were examined in depth, along with a discussion on the balance of work culture and its significance. Employees shared insights on how the organizational culture influences overall life satisfaction, emphasizing the importance of group dynamics in minimizing conflicts.

The Talent Head also elaborated on the hiring strategy, outlining the criteria involved. Additionally, the company’s engagement activities aimed at alleviating stress were discussed. Shubhashish Homes implements a quarterly performance review system to recognize even minor achievements, fostering a sense of belonging among employees and enhancing their engagement in their respective roles.

Opportunities for psychology students were explored, along with the critical roles of communication and leadership within the organization. The session concluded with a question-and-answer segment, followed by refreshments for the students. Outcome: Students were able to understand the role of HR functioning and learn about working of the corporate culture along with an insightful learning experience in terms of organisational structure and culture.
