BEGINNING OF A NEW ERA - IVOLVE 

On 4th February 2025, the Department of Psychology celebrated the beginning of the most awaited club of all time. The Inaugural Ceremony of the Mental Health Club ‘IVOLVE’ was organized at A.V. hall from 10:30 am onwards on the campus of IIS (deemed to be) University.

The ceremony started with a hearty welcome by Bhoomi to all the dignitaries present, Dr. Ila Joshi ma’am, Dean of Social Sciences, Dr. Himangini Hooja, Director of School of Behavioral Sciences, Dr. Megha Arya, Head of the Department and all the faculty members of the department as well as the spectators. The club's foundation was kept simple yet profound as the concept of “Us”, our minds, our struggles and our growth were weaved at the center. With the intention to build a community where every individual matters, the vision and mission of the club was put together by Ms. Ayushi Tyagi, coordinator of the club. She then briefed the audience and guided the team through the purpose and goals that will shape the journey of the club in the future, after which a fun and interactive session by Ananya Agarwal was organized as a part of Inaugural wherein Bollywood movie characters, psychological disorders and popular dialogues were asked to the audience. 

Dr. Himangini was invited to take centre stage for the highly anticipated unveiling of the club's logo and tagline, a moment eagerly awaited by all. The logo and the idea behind it were explained beautifully by the vice-president of the club, Janhvi where she shared that the logo not only symbolized growth and knowledge but also emotional well-being through the various sections of the brain. The divisions represent the different functions of the brain and highlight their importance. At the center of the logo where the hands form a heart shape, compassion, support and empathy are incorporated in our vision. The tagline, “Enlighten, Empower, Embrace” certainly goes well with the ideas and the aspirations of the club as it suggests to enlighten the mind, empower people around us and embrace them with warmth. 

After the logo and club's mission reveal, the Investiture ceremony was done by Ms. Ayushi Tyagi ma'am to introduce the members of the club including the APEX body followed by the Social media team, then the Editorial team and the Management team. All of the team were honored by badges given by the dignitaries. After the introductions were concluded, Rishita Biswas, the president of the club, shared her ideas and expectations through a speech to motivate, appreciate and to set newer examples for the club, department and the university. She also discussed the upcoming events that are already in motion. Most importantly, Dr. Ila Joshi enabled the club members to take the Oath towards the commitment and fulfillment of the values for the club which lifted their spirits to excel and reach their goals.

Lastly, Dr. Sankul Sethia was requested to present the vote of thanks to the dignitaries, club members and the audience, where she expressed her admiration and gratitude towards all the hardworking faculty and students.
