Activity: Field Visit to Psychiatric Centre,

Dept. of Psychology organized a field visit to Psychiatric Centre, Mental Hospital, Adarsh Nagar. 35 students of psychology honours and M.A. went along with faculty members- Dr. Bhawana Arya & Ms. Mridula Sharma, Dept of Psychology.

The purpose behind this visit was to familiarize the students with the organizational structure. The students saw the company and interacted with the psychiatrist and other doctors and nursing staff. They observed the hospital organizational structure. The students visited OPD, Electro Convulsive Therapy Centre, general wards. They asked several questions related to the referral cases, facilities and types of treatments provided at the centre.

The visit was a great learning experience especially for clinical and organizational behavior students who had hands-on experience of working environment in the hospital.
